Harvard Men’s Basketball Game at Princeton

The Club will be one mighty phalanx at Jadwin as we cheer for the defending Ivy League co-champion Crimson as it tries to tame the Tigers and proceed toward its first outright Ivy League title. Coach Tommy Amaker's team, led by Ivy League Player of the Year Keith Wright, has gotten off to a roaring start in 2011-12 and even achieved the first top 25 national ranking in the program's history. As this game is being nationally televised by ESPNU, we aim to raise our voice and fully display our colors--to say nothing of our banners and signs.   Tickets are limited and sold on a first-come first served basis.  Please make sure to provide an accurate mailing address when completing registration as they will be mailed out in advance to the address provided.

 When:      Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 7:00PM

Cocktail Party at the Nassau Club featuring Professor Melissa Lane

Cocktail Party at the Nassau Club in Princeton featuring Princeton University professor Melissa Lane (AB 88) whom will talk about her new book, ECO-REPUBLIC: What the Ancients Can Teach Us about Ethics, Virtue, and Sustainable Living (Princeton University Press, 2012).

Professor Lane draws on ancient Greek thought—and Plato's Republic in particular—to put forward a new vision of citizenship that can help to make such a society a reality. An ecologically sustainable society cannot be achieved without citizens who possess the virtues and values that will foster it, and who believe that individual actions can indeed make a difference
